I remember in an old issue of Freestylin' there was a picture of Joe Gruttola doing a dumptruck or something like that, and the caption said something about BURP axle pegs.  Anyone else remember that picture?

Yep, Brian was one of the orginators of the threadless peg.  Probably the best innovation of it's time really.  Sooooo much better than any thread in peg for sure.  I don't know if he beat Nitchske to the punch, but I know they were both making those types of pegs wayyy before anyone else was.  Brian also did some cool stuff riding a pool in Dorkin' 3, btw.  I wish my teachers were that cool.

The pegs were existed as early as the 1900's, people used them to get on that strange looking bicycles
that were existed then. so it's non of the bmx riders.
