Indonesia: Go BMX - TV Series boosts bike sales
« on: January 15, 2016, 09:55:17 PM »

Go BMX is an Indonesian daily soap. Flatland rider Heru Anwari is one of the actors and told us about the project and it's positive effect on the Indonesian BMX scene:

"For more than five months this TV series has been running and tells the story of everyday life such as love, bmx riders, tricks, comedy and action. It's featuring BMX flatland, street, old school and starring the professional Indonesian riders Okke Octavian (Udin), Heru Anwari, Botay Agata (chakras) and Moonthink (moontink) as well as other riders. We felt a very nice impact: in many cities throughout Indonesia BMX bike sales and the number of new riders increased a lot. I and many people here are very happy with this and want to spread the info to the BMX world. This will probably affect also the BMX scene in other parts of the world. The TV series has been running daily since September. 106 episodes aired so far."

You can find all episodes on Youtube but there are no English subtitles. We find it pretty amazing that BMX made it to the mainstream media over there. After all TV is a great media to reach new riders!
