Back in the Game but not getting any where.
« on: May 27, 2015, 05:38:04 PM »
Took a couple of years off from dedicated flat but have been back at it for about 15-25hrs a week for 2 months.

Broke down and finally updated my ride to an Intrikat and free-coaster with fastpitch forks.

I've been fighting halfpackers / hikers for 15 years.

I can hang five forwards and backwards around the block.

Finally getting some traction, spinning hang 5's 2-4 rotations, spinning steams 2-3 wide rotations, half hikers for about 9 seconds. (Most look awkward and terrible)

Can't get mega spins or any turbines to speak of.

How long did it take you guys to transition from 1 footed traditional rollers to more new school double footed tight circles, turbines and combos?

it takes time to make the transition, but ground rules is a good dvd to pick up as well!

After about a month of solid riding I am finally starting to get some traction, half hikers and spinning 5's are finally picking up steam. Hopefully in 6 months I will be able to turbine anything
