Hey all, my name is Matt (and Mattlander to some) and I've been riding flatland since highschool, around 2002. I'm from Southern NJ (rode Atlantic City and Ocean City mostly) but didn't have any friends that stuck around with flatland. Rode with a ton of bmx riders of other disciplines though.

In 2012 I got married and move to Virginia for work and have been living here since. I've seen a bunch of new street/park riders recently and found a couple new flatland riders thanks to Instagram.

After a nearly 5 year hiatus from riding in any serious manner, I've been riding several times a week and relearning everything! I'm planning to attend York Jam '21 and bringing another rider (his name is Adel), it will be his first time seeing more than 2 flatland riders in one place! :D

Hey all, I rode freestyle as a kid in the mid/late 80s before switching to skateboarding. Did that mostly until MTB/Freeride in my 20s brought me back into bikes. Tried flatland briefly but didn't have the patience. Fast forward almost another 20 years, and at 46 more MTB/DJ led to getting another flatland bike. Had the first couple solo sessions and it really brings me back to being 10 years old again. It's wild how the muscle memory is still there for some of those basic old school tricks but I'm really fascinated by the modern rolling tricks. Hope to be able to get into some of them in the future.

Hello,
My Name is Nicolas, I live in the suburb of Paris, France.I had my first bmx in 1986, it was a nice, fully white but cheap bike and my first years of learning flatland were difficults. It became better with my Haro Master in 1988 or 1989, I rode all what I could (flat, street, ramp, dirt, miniramp) until 1993.I restarted once in 1998, I did participate to the first FISE in montpelier in flat, street and vert (expert level). And after that, I mainly rode Vert and skatepark with a HoffmanBikes Condor until august 2002 where I did participate at the world's championship in Vert expert.20 years later I accepted the idea that I wouldn't ride any Vert at all and I decided to sell my Condor. But the virus of flatland was only sleeping in me and it wake up.So I restarted bmx a few weeks ago with a 20.3 Haro Downtown that I'm upgrading. Next step is a KHE freecoaster.

Hey everyone, I'm James and am getting back into riding after a 20 year break. I found my son a 97 Hoffman EP a few months ago and that sorta rekindled my love for riding. My 97 EP was the last bike I bought back in 1997, it was well ridden and loved. I would love to build mine back up and ride it again, but for now I'll borrow his lol.

sweet! sounds like a nice thing you've got going with your son there. did you update it or freshen it up for him? you may need some Ti parts to get the weight down a bit :D

Oh man. You are going to LOVE the York Jam then. I remeber the first time I was in the presence of a LOT of really good riders and it was such a motivator. Have a great trip!
