Hi,

My name is Asa. I'm 40 years old and a New Yorker. I just got back into this even though I haven't rode in years. I am an old school freestyler who did tricks in the 80's and beginning 90's. Dennis McCoy was the man back than when we started moving over to rolling tricks which was the beginning of a new era in case you didn't know. :)

This is just an expensive hobby and I finally am able to buy any part there is out there so I just wanted to get started just for fun on a custom bike I am building right now.

My favorite riders are Moto Saski and Matthias Dandois in this new generation.

hello where in new york i am from queens i came back to ride like 3 years ago i am 43 i am always in flushing park

hey guys, my name's Joe, I'm 33 and I shred the streets of LA. I got a call last night from the 80's and they wanted my Hutch back. I told him to GTFO and listen to some new Michael Jackson record or something. Last thing I remember was that I was riding at Redondo Beach with Martin and Eddie one afternoon. I did a Miami Hop Hop and my front ACS Z-rim snapped. My head hit the floor and it started to bleed, then I remember the paramedic cutting my mullet right before I passed out. I just woke up a few days ago and it was 2012! I ran out of the house only to see riders now riding similar looking black frames, and the things they do now are crazy! Back then, it took us 2 minutes to finish one trick and now riders seem to do 20 tricks in 20 seconds. What blew my mind was they are not using brakes anymore. Thank God my Hutch TrickStyler is still here or else I would go nuts:

My bike:

So I went outside and pulled an elbow glide. To my surprise, I can still do it!

And the good ol backyard

But does anyone know how I could go back to 1988? I really miss the 80's!

...hopped on a bike again a couple days ago for the first time since 2006.    I've always loved flat, but the finer details are lost to me.  I can squeak with the best of them though.

what flatland means to me:
So i ride BMX. Many people wonder why i do, some view it as a waste of time, others wonder why this lil black boy trying to kill himself doing white people thing. Not until you enter into our circle will you understand. BMX isn't just a past time or a sport, it is an art form. Hours of hard work, dedication, injuries and stressful moments go into this, with your only coach being yourself, dependin

g only on your connection with your star player to keep you going. Should it be compared to anything in similarity, i'd say ballet. To the immature mind you will instantly think 'oh that's gay!' However a ballet requires years of dedication, strength and impeccable balance to be considered even an ameteur. Thus the journey begins! Training day after day, month after month and years on hand, mastering tricks and learning to link them into combinations of speed, technicality and difficulty to create something as beautiful to behold. Through this sport i've personally created bonds in paces i never would have reached, with friends in all corners of the globe, from UK to Australia, Barbados to Indonesia, learning to communicate in over 4 languages and learning new cultures. How can one view such as a waste of time? My bike has made a name for me, i have gained the respect of many and holds to me privileges i've never fathom of having before. I love what i do! My name is Tevin Mills and i have been active in BMX for 2 years and this has been my story.
