picking new frame
« on: March 31, 2014, 04:08:20 PM »
it's time for me to admit that my 20.5" Intrikat frame is too long for me, been on it since sept 2012 and I still cant get used to it. tricks over the headtube ( lost em commpletly )and as I ride 50mm stem I have hard time even doing peg glides as bike feels so long (tried short stem and cant get used to it with front wheel stuff) I know mind over matter etc ,ride it get used to it but im just not good enough to adapt to 20.5" . there is nothing wrong with the quality of the frame also being custom cost me a butt load of cash( which is why i've tried it for so long- first brand new frame since 2000) i'm looking at 19.25 - 19.5" frames mainly JUNGLE RIDER 19.5" on sale at flatland fuel , or MANKIND CODE 19.5" or FLATWARE TANGO 19.5" AUTUM RAZZIA 19.3" . anyone got any feedback on these frames would be greatly appreciated .I know i'm gonna get slated for wanting too change from an INTRIKAT 20.5" but I only got worse on this length frame . thanks for your time in reading my waffle .peace shane baptiste

Yeah bro those all seem like pretty decent frames. Maybe you like the jungle rider the most? I think unconsciously you may want that one since you listed it first. Is there a certain color you want?

On second thought, with regards to overall company image, it seems like Autum is pushing things the most. I would almost lean towards that one just bc the other company offerings seem outdated and defunct. The 19.5 Deco Terry frame is the other one I'd say to take a look at or possibly a 19.5 intrikat.

I have a mankind code, and I bought three more to have as backup because I love it so much. I've had it for over a year and I am really hard on my bike. It has held up beautifully and the geometry is just perfect. I would vouch for that frame in an instant. Incredibly well designed.

my last frames oldest first was a morales  in 97, gt show in 2000,( frame fell apart) then scott powell till couldn't deal with having to weld it where cracked anymore , quamen g6 19" approx., rode it for years then short stint on TOPSEY'S 19.25" sickchild ( sold it back to him- biggest regret ).  LOOKS LIKE I'LL BE ON  TOPSEY'S AUTUM RAZZIA , HE'S OFFERED ME AN AMAZING DEAL. thanx for the replys ( I was leaning towards the CODE frame but gotta go with best cost .

I rode the Junglerider 19.5  for a while, before i changed to 20.5 Mutantbikes Lobo and now to 20.5 Indamix.
The Junglerider 19.5 is a supergreat Flatframe with a bit shorter rearend than the Mankind Code 19.8TT frame.
The Junglerider is a bit higher, which looks more Allround and for my opinion better than the Mankind Codeframe. I tried them both and i would take the Junglerider.........

had to let Topsey down on the Razzia deal(i'm owed cash from a friend, never work cash -in -hand for someone who uses friendship as an excuse not to pay on time ) .as soon as I buy new frame I will be selling Intrikat, I just don't want to sell it until I get new frame and chance to test it. thanx for all the replies there is so much  to choose from but new frame will be 19" -19.5"tt and 13.5" rear  - want to keep rear end 13.5" as I don't hit heels on pegs on intrikat .

Mankind Code.

Seriously. Incredibly well built, and the geometry is spot on what you're looking for. I run my pegs slammed in the dropouts and I don't hit my size 13 feet on the pegs ever.

i have been looking at maybe purchasing a new frame as well.

just wondering how tall are you people riding the mankind code?

im riding inertia 18.8 75HA and it feels quite short, im 5 11 wondering if 19.5 wont feel long.

also how strong would you say is the mankind code? i suppose weaker than inertia but still
