Broke my A Bad Thing.
« on: February 04, 2014, 09:38:38 PM »
Broke my A Bad Thing so I got a St. Martin Footjam 2014 :D

Attempted to weld it up but didn't hold up, so I gave up and wanted a stronger Frame :)

Just made a quick video on Sunday for fun :

Did it crack over time or did the tube snap all at once? That's what engineer would call catastrophic failure. Did they warranty it?

Nice riding, but why are you wearing what looks like wrestling headgear?

I've never seen a St Martin with anything that could be remotely described as "good" build quality.

I for one have never seen a St. Martin frame with a bridge between the chain stays for at least as far as I can remember. Whenever I look at Flatland Fuel, the pictures always have this part of the frame obscured -- perhaps intentionally. I don't know if they're still making their frames like this, but I would NEVER buy a frame without this critical feature.

Yeah I noticed that there is only one bridge, two would be better. But I believe its strong enough for my riding :)

I was going to say this but I've seen some really sh*tty welds on their frames as well. It might be strong enough for your riding, but your riding will hopefully evolve beyond some more basic tricks and that's when you want the strength.
