Have to say, the nyb with k-series internals perform in a similar fashion as the previous nankai alloys/ technolites... So if you dislike how nankai technolites work, feel and perform, i wouldn't recommend the NYBs ( not too sure if it's because the spring is new, but the ghost pedaling is not as bad as the technolites, chain still needs to be snug though ).
that said, my back wheel is light as a feather now- 36 titanium spokes, alloy spline nipples with Sun envy lites- 870-ish grams (1547g with primo comet 1.5", double tubes )
if you are a rear-wheel tricks based rider, i don't see why the heavy-ass Cult hub won't work.
i ride/ my tricks are predominantly front wheel based, my flatland bike is setup towards that- rear as light and as short as possible, front end is normal with brakes; the balance is front-heavy.
