Thin grips? (not tape)
« on: October 02, 2012, 10:49:18 PM »
I'd like a set of really thin grips, but don't like the feel of tape.

Suggestions?

''let me tell ya something i did a front n rear wheel hang on the cloping on the slide of the spine, now i stick to street!''

''do you freestyle?''

However serious you take it general public sees us as just dicking about on 'kids' bikes, some people could do to remember that and smile a little.

The Kink and Hoffmans look pretty thin.  The Federals look a bit thicker, but it may just be the texture.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Fit Eddie Cleveland grips are the thinnest I've ever carried at my shop.

Man, lots of love for the Hoffmans, I didn't expect that.

Fit has a few recommendations too.

I do like flanges on my grips, so I may order a set of Hoffmans.

Very expensive but very durable :

I've always been tempted by these; but have always been worried about the very virtue you single out. Are they really as durable as I keep hearing? I'm at the point where lots of tricks i'm trying to learn will result in dragging my bars and grips on the ground.... am I better off learning to keep my bars off the ground with cheap grips on them until I can minimise damage?

Hoffmans or Terrible Ones...I love those things.
