He was good, but he repeated the same combos too much in my opinion.

AGREE!!!
He did the same here at FISE Costa Rica... He got 5th place and he was pissed off with the judges, the riders and with my country...

It looked to me that he was repeating himself because he wanted to pull the combos perfectly. Also, the floor looks slippery compared to the wooden practice area at his warehouse. That may be the cause of him slipping so much.

I agree with outriding. Alex is a perfectionist, needed to get that one run dialled. He does however seem to be working on the same run pretty much everywhere he competes so maybe changing it up might help him get the podium places he wants.

The floor at the contest this year was probably the best that I've ever experienced in either building. I didn't really hear anyone complaining about it to speak of. Even Percy who washed out on his run slipped only due to slipping on his own blood.

Perfectionism is something I think a lot of flatland riders strive for, and it's frustrating if you've got a trick dialed and all of a sudden it just doesn't come together for whatever reason. I felt the judging was very fair. No glaring omissions, and extra time was taken to absolutely 100% assure things didn't end up going awry. Awesome contest this year, awesome people, and I feel that after watching all 8 years of this and beyond, the classes had some incredible riding. I didn't envy the judges one bit because I couldn't have called it. I know because I lost a dollar bet.

his combo's are pretty difficult if he we're to play them out as long as he wanted to . Extremely original in the scheme of the contest. Although they're short and seemingly repetitive I think originality and difficulty got him up in 5th place...
