Definitely getting one, bars to match!  Totally worth the price for the tech!  Not to mention shipping's included.  Same cost as others, some cases less expensive!  Pictures definitely don't do them justice...

aaron, if you make me a blue or green one I'll buy one....
silver and black are too cliche... kinda generic colors....
I just don't want to have to buy a silver one then have to wait for my boss to anodize it for me...

i agree with tranq...id like a blue one. i guess i could have it anodized myself, or powdered in transparent blue, but it would just be annoying to have to do that. would be cool to get a nice blue one right outta the box  ;D

Gold. I don't want to mess up my purple, green, and gold color scheme.

Definetly the most advanced stem out there. Heavily machined, ultra light, and it utilizes a wedge design instead of the traditional crap, I mean clamp, design.

well first you have to get it apart. works much like a rubix cube....take in hand, twist it......turn it....twist it again....turn it.....turn it......twist it...turn it....one finnal twist and turn and you'll have three parts in your hand.

to get it back together is another story.......still working on that.

just kidding.......i think once you have the thing in your hands you'll easily figure it out. it's not that complicated. awsome peice, if i ever need another stem i'd like to look into getting one of these.

It's pandora's stem. You don't even want to see the horrors unleashed when you unclamp it. Brandon designed it to be impossible to open so nobody would ever have to worry.

Such a sick design though. I would buy one if I had $'s.

I'm pretty sure it's 5/16" IMPERIAL (uses a 1/4" SAE Allen key I believe) I know for sure it's not metric but I'll let you know if that changes.

definitely need helicoil in it!!!
otherwise we'll hear so many stripped stem complaints. or if it's possible, i'd love to have 1 with helicoil.

IMO, with only 2 bolts to hold everything together, they need to be super tight and the stem body needs to be strong enough not to get stripped with such big clamping power... and it can only be achieved by helicoil.

Your opinion will change once you hold/ride one. I can tell you with certainty, it does not need a helicoil, it's held my 200 lbs body up on some serious moves and hasn't budged. If you understood the way the wrap around design amplifies the clamping force around a greater part of the circumference of the clamp bar you would realize that helicoils would improve nothing.
