Byke that is one crazy frame, props to you and Malo. not sure if i could ride it but makes me want to get a frame done by Malo ( i was about to get a custom s&m intrikat) got cash ready but now im thinking should i get a full custom done ?

Basically, since a head tube generally flares at each end its not possible to piece a tube as the connection wouldn't fit.

So The lower cup is built in to the head tube .... where as the upper cup is a press in (still a normal integrated headset)

really nice design. I feel this would have been a quamen classic, but Zenta never though about it....

Malo, you should really go into producing some alloy parts (stems, bar ends, sprockets and pegs)

Pretty cool design.


I'd say that's probably the worst possible place to lose weight though.  The part you machined away is were most forks bend assuming the legs hold.  I've bent plenty over about 30 years, trust me.


If anything, machine out the inside of the top of the headtube.  You could probably get by with it pretty thin, you've just got side impacts from the bars hitting the ground with very little weight on them.


If you absolutely have to do it at the bottom, do it on the inside so the larger outer diameter can help strengthen it.
