Peter Hollinger Flatland Shirt
« on: March 30, 2011, 07:56:51 PM »
Hi

A few of you might remember the original design when it was made a few years ago for a sick child t-shirt contest, to try & win a free frame, but I am finally putting some time into trying to have it printed over at threadless.

I haven't submitted it yet but I have submitted it into the critique section over there to hear peoples thoughts & suggestions on any changes that should be made before I enter it in the running.  I would like for you to take a look at all 3 versions so far & let me know which, if any, I should submit.  Or if you think of any other changes that could be made that have not allredy been suggested, please let me know.

http://www.threadless.com/critique/85861/Get_Sick

Most people over there like the 3rd version best and are now asking for me to remove peter's shadow, replacing it with just more random design.

If you don't have time to click the link here are a couple of examples of the latest 2 versions..

Thanks for any help & hopefully I can get it printed somewhere soon, if not on threadless..

Keep Riding!

Any you just don't like/don't think I should submit?

i would definitely say the 2nd one just cause i don't like the kid spitting all that out
of his mouth.  the rest of the designs were very similar, and i like both from that
perspective.
good work, though, on both.

The first one looks nice, but I agree, it kind of looks like the kid is spitting or puking. I'd go with the second one. It's a little "busy" for my taste, but the overall look is great.

thanks again

the first ones are supposed to look like the kid is puking.

The original was created for a contest that Sick Child had years ago.

Ahh, makes more sense now.

i think it would be more appealing if you just changed it to an adult type face.
maybe a goatee or piercings, some cool hair or something.

He did have a good point though.
For the average person who does not even know what sick child is the design might be more interesting if it were a cool lookin dude in the corner puking, but honsestly I just don't want to go through all the trouble of redrawing a completely different face.  I'm having enough fits as it is just replacing the shadow now.  I'm really hoping I can finish all the changes tonight.
It allready looks MUCH different.  Even more "busy" heheh (srry jim)

Besides, the final design I end up with prob won't even have the face.

I am thinking I am just going to submit 2 versions on threadless.
The first one you see here, and the 2nd one as well, after I finish editing it..
I will just scrap all the others

I will let you know once they are up.... please go vote 5$$ for em when they are!

Please Vote 5$$ Here on the first version.

I hope to submit the final version tonight for voting too.

Not asking anyone to buy it, although you know you'll want one.
I just need many 5$$ votes on them over @ threadless so they can even consider printing them...

thanks!
