BMX Bandits movie.
« on: August 03, 2010, 08:25:36 AM »
I don't believe it.  The classic 1983 movie BMX Bandits is now on itunes.  Wow.  Anyone else remember this flick?
You may be disappointed if you fail but doomed if you never try.  Some people advance through life.  Others remain stagnant and only dream of what they can achieve.  There is a difference between wanting and having, saying and doing.  Don't let those who fear progression keep you down or steal your vision.  Act out on your dreams.  Everything is real and ANYTHING is possible.

I watched Rad! last night on youtube and started BMX Bandits. I also found the original theater release movie poster for Rad while visiting my Mom. She kept everything :D

Man the 80's sucked.

and I lived through them in all their glory. If I only knew then what I know now..... I NEVER would have gotten that "Flock of Seagulls" haircut!

While the haircuts were bad enough, what was truly horrifying were the shorts. Do you remember OP shorts? In far too many of my old photos my friends and I look like the Nair short-shorts girls wearing those damn things.

NO WAY!

80's were so much better than the 90's
- Freestyle = 80's
- Rap = 80's
- Alt music = 80's
- techno = 80's
- internet = 80's
- CD's = 80's
- Snowboarding = 80's
- Crack = 80's  uhm, not everything was great but you get my point.

I will give you a few things there, but for the most part it sucked. The hair, the clothes, the flatland tricks, pop music......

90's alt music was so much better but late 80's rap was the shizznit. 90's rap was the downturn of rap when it started turning into the modern equivilant of disco.

But 90's were the best. I was a teen in the 80's. 20's in the 90's. Some of the best times in the 90's.... I got rid of the parachute pants and the Flock of Seagulls haircut in the 90s. :)

I didn't wait until the 90's to dump the parachute pants.  The first year of junior high they went to the trash...all six pair... ;D

Rad is great.  BMX Bandits is completely unwatchable imo.

Both have cheesy acting skills, corny story lines and are pretty lame overall, but as a kid remember these movies were the best ever. I grew up with these movies and thought they were the best until I got older and saw them for what they are. They have retro value now. A history of BMX. Collectors dvd's.  -_-
