The 3 bike shops I worked at sold Haro Sports cheaper to get them OFF the floor to make room for the next years Haro Masters and General RL Osborn Pro's.... Sorry , just the way IT was in the Late 80's early 90's where I Worked , Lived and Rode.... ;D  It could have been different where you lived and rode.

I had one and the 73.5 deg HA was really slow, and the frame was a tank as well. When I switched to a Trick Star(invasion tour weapon) it was a world of difference, 74.5 HA and 2 lbs lighter, what a difference.
Haros were the heaviest frames :P

Juggs...I don't know if you're still shopping for a sprocket, but one of these would look fantastic! If I didn't have a odyssey cranks, I'd buy one of these so quick!

How long have Macneil been making this?

I saw that, I can't run a 25t because of clearance. Macneil just released those a couple of months ago. I could buy a Poverty blank in 30t and Machine myself though.........hmmm...
Good lookin out though. Thank you.

i think you guys are more refering to the 84-85.  I'm speaking more on the 87-88. Team models especially.  By the time they were available in the local shops, kids didnt ride ramps AT ALL around my way. It was all about squeakin, chickens and ropes. The 1" difference i never noticed because they (cant say I because i sure as hell didnt) all had sports.

No, I'm specifically thinking of the 87-88's.  Now, what you claim may very well be true in your area, with the people you know.  I'm just saying that I believe that most of the rest of the world did things the opposite.  Whenever I went to an AFA contest, I don't remember anyone who wasn't primarily a ramp rider using a Sport for flatland.  The only two I can think of is Matt Hofman and Joe Johnson, and they just rode flat to compete in the "overall".

I had one and the 73.5 deg HA was really slow, and the frame was a tank as well. When I switched to a Trick Star(invasion tour weapon) it was a world of difference, 74.5 HA and 2 lbs lighter, what a difference.

I don't remember it that way either.  The 87-88 Master frame wasn't heavy at all.  IIRC, it was around the same weight as the Trickstar.  Later Master's gained some pounds though between the extra grind tubing, to the huge downtubes of later generation Masters.

I was refering to the sport.
My Trickstar was 5.3lbs I weighed it at my work on our digital scales. Even though I never owned a master,, except for my street master, I dont believe that frame was in the same weight class as the trickstar.

I remember it being around 5 lbs.   I've got a Zippo and it's mostly steel and it's only around 6 I think.

Progress....
looking good!
Where's yours?

In the process of cleaning the frame up before I mount the parts. I'll probably finish up in the next couple weeks--I'm wrapping up the school year (I'm a teacher) and have a newborn and toddler at home so I've been real busy. Will post pics soon!
