do you guys put your foot on the tire first or the peg first?

^foot on peg- lift knee up- place foot on tire(skim the tire then scuff- don't footwedge or you will be laying on your bike)- make sure you are picking the bike up at the bar too. If you want to scuff/roll in a tighter circle pick up on the bar more...want to carve it out...loosen up a bit.

WOW we had a ton of participation last year in 2010. Now here we are on the first day of 2011 and the New Trick for the Month will be a Hang 5. I always see people asking how to do this one trick. It is really a great building block to many other tricks. If you can do a Hang 5 right now. How about all the other variations? How many ways do you you have in or out of it? The Hang 5 is a super fun trick. There will be some surprises for this year with Trick of the Month. So lets start this off with a BANG and get those hang 5 and variations in.

anybody have tips for turbine-scuff hang 5s? i can g turn ok most of the time but i just dont get the timing for the trick, like when to put your foot on. also scuffing forward while the wheel is going back is hard for me

Are your bw hang 5's dialed? I have the same problem so I'm trying to put some time into my backwards hang 5's thinking once they are as dialed as my fwd ones then it will be a lot easier/less hairy.
