5hane- I had the same exact problem. I have the solution for you. You have to learn how to glide with both feets and hands on the bars
ah, i can get to where you are.i can get my other foot on the peg but letting go is just tough. out of the many times i got to that point, i only had the balls to let go of my bars 3 times. fell forward every time.
I decided the smart thing to do was put in a lot of time on my Hang 10's and that led me to one-handed hang 10's and then I got the idea that maybe I should work on Hang 10 seat-grabs, another trick I've really wanted to learn. I put a lot of time into that instead. So even though I didn't work much on Cliffhangers they did inspire me to work on something else I've been wanting to learn. http://www.global-flat.com/smf/index.php?topic=40646.0

your hang 5s are supa legit!! you're a quick learner, man.i was wondering this myself, would messiah's be a good stepping stone to cliffhangers? or are the two so different that neither one is really useful for learning the other?
