I just started getting into flatland stuff about 3 days ago and suck so far, I blame my sh*tty bike and lack of practice.
Have to agree with Byke here. 2009 definatly the year of shady design. Too many companies stuck in tradition. And by that i mean FAR to many 18.x sized frames with the same geo.
I keep bending the dropouts back so it's hard to tell, but you can see where it's bent and it's had to be bent back. EDIT: For reference, there is that much space between the dropout and the tensioner on the other side to. When I got the bike, there was only a millimeter or so space. The back end is just so warped because it's so wide and there is so much leverage over the rear that it's whacked the hell out, so there is WAY more space here than there should be. The spacing in the rear end on Quamens is just horribly done. There's no reason to make the rear ends like this. I wouldn't have bought the frame if I wasn't in need of a frame at the time of my Kun Fu breaking, I just literally had no other options available to me. There was the macneil, but the back end on that is stupid too because the chain and seat stays are capped all messed up, and I was doing lots of pivoting tricks at the time where my feet would have caught on them.
the dropouts are miserably short (my pegs extend .25 inches past the end of the drop outs.
when i bent my dropouts on my g6 (pretty much the same way) they said it was cause the spacing was based around a nankai and their tensioners. how come you didnt just run a spacer in there? although unless you could get one even on both sides, it'd mess up your alignment... and they've always been doing the spacing like that(as far as i know) i wasnt aware of any problems like that before...
