G turns!
« on: October 22, 2009, 06:37:55 PM »
Any tips? I'm just starting out on these. Something about long smooth glides..thx for any help or suggestions. I think once the spin happens(rolling backwards) I'd be straight. Nose wheelies scare the f*ck outta me! Thx -

What is a G turn?
Are you serious?
G turns are basically 180 degree turns, except you have to shift your weight  toward the front as your turning. This causes you to roll backwards on the front wheel.
There has to be some video of g turns some where. I'll check on it!

The last thing I tried mastering when I still hade my bike in proper conditions was to multiple G-Turn while on an Hang5:

hang 5 gturns Small | Large

The difference between that and a G-Turn is that you dont't have your foot on the peg like you do in an Hang5, they both remain on the pedals.

Imagine a classic 180 but you bing your back end way up in the air and use g-forces (hence the name) to turn your bike around.
