Not really. You're only talking 2mm per side. Don't forget, half of the pegs are already 14mm with 3/8 adapters.

my friend Josh drilled out his majic sticks to 14mm and they only lasted 2 months

9/16" Get a decent carbide bit. Use oil and go slow to make the hole as clean as possible.

If you are drilling plastic pegs use the bigest washer you can on the inside of the peg to reinforce the inside wall.

they should just put a weight limit on plastic pegs.. i'm 140 or so and they lasted me a long time..
