BARBADOS BIKE PROJECT
« on: March 26, 2009, 12:50:39 AM »
we need to help another island boy...from BARBADOS
which is in the CARIBBEAN ISLANDS and is above TRINDAD
and in the island group of ST LUCIA, ST VINCENT and
GRENADINA.

GRENADA IS BETWEEN TRINDAD AND THIS ISLAND GROUP
WHICH INCLUDES BARBADOS!...SOUTHERN CARIBBEAN!

He lives in BRIDGETOWN on BARBADOS and is in need of parts
and if you look on the video he has no cranks, pedals, chain and
spocket and probably needs also atleast one chain tensioner along
with tires etc and here is his my space so get ahold of him and hopefully
he has a SKYBOX OR THERE IS A WAY TO GET PARTS TO HIM.

I HAVE ALOT OF RIDERS WHO I ALREADY HELP AND THE LIST IS LIKE
6 RIDERS ALREADY INCLUDING TREVLON IN TRINDAD!

I have a complete drivetrain for him consisting of Odyssey thermals, a Quamen 24t sprocket, Ares pedals and a chain ready for him. I just need someone in California to receive a bike and divide it into 3 boxes for me.
I'm paying all shipping costs too, so there is NO expense for the middleman.

No problem. Shipping by road from Seattle to Cali wont cost much. I will pay all shipping. No need for a skybox.

If I was sending a complete bike to Barbados, thats different, we would definately need a skybox. I can only send a complete drivetrain. Everything else on the bike is allocated for to needy riders.

I just need a middleman to receive and box.

THE PROBLEM I SEE WITH THE BARBADOS RIDER IS THAT HIS PARTS
ARE ANCIENT AND HE REALLY NEEDS MORE THAN JUST THE DRIVETRAIN
AND NEEDS A MAJOR FACE LIFT IN PARTS AND MAYBE A COMPLETE BIKE
AS HE IS RIDING PARTS FROM THE LATE 1980'S TO EARLY 1990'S AND
I WAS HOPING SOMEONE OR PEOPLE COULD DONATE PARTS SO HE COULD
PUT TOGETHER A COMPLETE BIKES AND HAVE A DIALED MODERN FLATLAND BIKE
TO RIDE INSTEAD OF A 1990 HARO MASTER OR WHATEVER THAT MASTER IS.

IF YOU LOOK AT HIS BIKE YOU CAN TELL ALL THE PARTS ARE HELLUVE OLD PARTS
OR MOST OF THEM ARE AND ADDING MODERN PARTS TO ANCIENT PARTS
LIKE THAT HAS TO HELP BUT DOES NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM!

I WAS HOPING HE COME ON THE FORUM AND TALK TO US BUT I DONT THINK HE
HAS ACCESS TO THE INTERNET MUCH AND HE IS MARRIED AND HAS A FAMILY
TOO SO YEAH IT IS SORTA HARD TALKING FOR HIM!

THE PERUVIAN RIDERS YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT ARE THE LIMA RIDERS RIGHT
AND I KNOW THEY NEED HELP ALL THE TIME TOO AS THEY HAVE NO DINEROS
AND THE PARTS ARE VERY HARD TO FIND THERE AND EXPENSIVE TO GET AND
THERE ARE SOME 8-9 FLATLAND RIDERS WHO RIDE AT THE SQUARE THERE
IN CENTRAL LIMA AS I HAVE BEEN THERE BEFORE.

HERE ARE THE NEEDS I SEE RIGHT NOW IN LATIN AMERICAN IN RIDERS AND
WHAT THEY NEED

**TRINIDAD

-THEY NEED TIRES BADLY AS WHERE THEY RIDE IS ROUGH TO VERY ROUGH AND THEY GO THRU TIRES FAST..ALSO NEED SHOES AND KYLE PUT SOME SHOES ON DAMN YOU!!
HEE HEE..JUST KIDDIN. I AM SHIPPING PACKAGES ONCE A MONTH TO TRINIDAD IN
PARTS, TIRES ETC AND IM CHECKING ON SENDING SOME ETHNIES SHOES TO THEM
ALSO BUT THE NEED IS STILL TIRES AND SMALL PARTS LIKE CHAIN TENSIONERS,
TUBES, SLIC CABLES, BAR ENDS, GRIPS, BRAKE LEVELS, PEDALS, CHAINS, HEADSETS,
ETC

PLEASE SEND TO THE FOLLOWING SKYBOX

TREVLON HALL
C/O TRINDAD FLATLAND RIDERS
POS 0296
7620 NW 63RD STREET
MIAMI FL 33166

**BARBADOS RIDER

VIVION..

DONT KNOW WHAT HE NEEDS OR WHERE TO SEND IT BUT ILL POST THE INFO
ONCE I GET IT BUT I THINK AN COMPLETE BIKE IS REALLY NEEDED HERE AS HE RIDES
AN OLD HARO MASTER WITH NO CRANKS/CHAINDRIVE SYSTEM AND THE PARTS HE
HAS ON THE BIKE HE HADS ARE VERY VERY OLD!

**PERUVIAN RIDERS

LIMA--THERE ARE SOME 8-9 FLATLANDERS WHO RIDE IN THE CITY CENTER THAT
I KNOW OF AND THEY ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF HELP WITH TIRES AND SMALL
PARTS AND IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE TO GET PARTS TO LIMA AS IT IS AT WEST
OF THE ANDES MOUNTIANS AND VERY SECLUDED AREA OF SOUTH AMERICA!

i sent him a text message to check the forum, link as i included that in his email....avl.ride@yahoo.com ......or vivlion@hotmail.com.....

my only problem is that it may cost sending it to my skybox in trinidad then havig to send it ove r to barbados.....so if he does'nt have a easier way to get the stuff...then we'll just have to...

but as you said bro...he's been riding that heavy older frame ahwile now...in fact a few years and what he really needs is an updated frame/bike since he really isnt a beginner....i mean he's been riding crankless ahwile now...so a frame would be a bigger blessing......

to the guy at

hi,

i lived in brabados as a child for 5 month or so...also in bridgetown...kunstform?! would help that guys...just let us know what they need and we will make a decent package for them.

send us an email: fs@kunstform.org

if you know anyone over on your end who can hook him up with an updated frame etc his email is above or you can message me at mine......michaeldepeza@hotmail.com.......

If Kunstform can somehow organize a frame, I think he will be good to go. My drivetrain is cranks, pedals, sprocket and chain which by pure chance, I happen to have spare real soon.
He really needs to join up here and post a pic of his bike. Then he will get more support.
