Yeah same number just different home at the moment we sold our place a while back and were living with the wifes parents temporarily as our boats roof leaks and the heat isnt very good on it. I'd like to meet someone new out here for sure, we all still ride Ron has a baby girl as of last April so hes got two kids now and a second job so his riding time is shorter. Jason has a new baby boy as well as of January but he still gets out he also has a second job though.

No worries!

I don't hate Mutt either, it just bugs me that he can't accept me riding at Clocktower. I love its scenery, maybe that's why still love riding there, despite all the skaters, people, traffic, etc.

hmmmmm
yeah that was a long time ago

heya alex i got nothing to say to you and i just
dont like the fact your not going to support
norcal flat no matter where we have sessions at
and that is what i dont like alex. you are so fixed at
riding at the clocktower that you dont want to support
what im and pete b. trying to do..dont go to pete b. as
he going to say the same thing to you.

we are going to try to get sessions at the clocktower on
saturdays/sundays if the skaters go away after the skatepark is
finished. we would then have sessions at the clocktower
either on saturdays and then have the sunday session at
the spot or have the spot session saturday and then the
sunday session at the clocktower...it will be one of those two
combos.

i will also be going out to ride with the manteca riders during the
week and there are 4 or so flatland riders out there so im
planning on doing that soon. that is three sessions that i know
of going on in nor-cal during the week.

RIDERS IN NOR-CAL NEED TO SUPPORT THE SCENE HERE
AND THAT MEANS GOING TO A SESSION OR TWO A WEEK
AND IM KEEEPING IN CONTACT NOW WITH ALOT MORE
FLATLAND RIDERS HERE IN NOR-CAL AND HOPEFULLY THERE
WILL BE ALOT MORE SUPPORTING THE SCENE HERE AND COMING
OUT TO RIDE...NO EXCUSES AND YOU CAN ATLEAST MAKE "ONE"
SESSION A WEEK SOMEWHERE IN NOR-CAL.

IF YOU WANT TO CALL ME ABOUT THE SESSIONS OR CALL ME NAMES

I totally agree we got to support the scene man but what we also need are more flatlanders and we need more younger riders getting into flatland. I'm down for a it but I can't do much you know. Got life to deal with and goals other than flatland. I'm just glad to be able to get out and ride a few days or more week, maybe getting in 4hrs total in week. But I will try to get out and ride more at the Spot and possibly the clocktower every once in a while.

We need more Nor Cal jams and such to get everyone together, I have no problem riding with anyone. This topic has gone a little astray though I think!

I don't want to call you names, Mutt, and notice, that I didn't. I respect you a lot for everything you've done for flatland. But, at the same time, wasn't clocktower once the most awesome place for everyone to ride? Wasn't it recorded in tons of videos? I remember the time when we had 10-15 riders at clocktower every weekend. That was an awesome time. And even though nobody rides there anymore except for a few individuals that only come there every once in a while, I keep riding there even though pretty much nobody does. Isn't that supporting nor-cal scene, or to be exact, clocktower scene? I know that there are more flatlanders and the spot, and that the spot is really spacious and clean, that I can't take away from it. But, I think, it's great for riders to know each other and ride together every once in a while, however, on a regular basis, ride in different places. Everything I've said before wasn't "excuses", those were facts: I do indeed hate asphalt, I have a hard time adjusting to new places. It is more expensive for me to go to the spot because I have to pay for a bridge and my monthly spending limit is VERY tight. But the most important reason why I love and only ride at clocktower is history: that was my first spot I've ever ridden at in USA. That's the place where I met Carlo, Pete, Ed, Bottle, and many more. I'm used to riding with a crowd around, and ALSO with skaters riding around, so when I get to such secluded place as the spot, I feel a little weird. It is the exact opposite of clocktower, and I can't used to it, sorry. And, frankly, I don't really want to.
Believe me, Mutt, I don't want to ride at the spot not because I have some problems riding with you, Richard, or any other person. If you come to clocktower on saturday, I will too. I like all flatlanders and get along with most of them. So just try to understand that I LOVE that place, and love can't always be justified.
Ok, I'm getting a little too sentimental here... Anyway I support Nor-Cal scene by riding at clocktower. And I do ride, I ride there every saturday and have a lot of fun. So I hope, Mutt, that you will respect my decision to ride there.

your not getting the picture here alex
im not going to call you dumb
but your being stupid as right now.
no one wants to ride at the clocktower
because of all the skaters and things going
on there and there are riders here chris.

i have counted like 18 flatland riders in
this area and if you include the sacto, santa cruz
and monterey riders then that is way over 24 riders
in nor-cal.

look what i remember..12-15 plus(18 a few sundays) flat riders
going out to the clocktower every sunday alex and you wrong
as it was a few more riders than you remember and i was
there too and riding there til it got taken over by skaters.
i really think unless the skaters dont take over the place
then we wont have a scene back there at the clocktower
and that is a possiblility. yeah you go ride at the clocktower
maybe 3-4 times a month but it is a dead zone because no
one wants to ride there and ask anyone and they will say the
skaters or something makes them not want to ride there. you
cant support an dead zone and say your supporting nor-cal
flatland if you ride there..thats absolutely stupid!!

jams..well chris i tried putting on jams and you did not even
show up and went to your concert in la la land and i know
you told me what happened but whatever. let me see some 15
flatlanders showed up the last time i had a jam at the clocktwer
and that is not even worth putting a jam on and planning it out
like i always do. i am really thinking of just putting AN ANNUAL
JAM AT THE CLOCKTOWER IN EARLY MAY and see how that goes
and do it like the intrikat jam with an after party at zeisgeist  bar or
something like that. i am not going to put on a series of jams as that
time is over.

WE WILL HAVE TO SEE HOW IT IS AFTER APRIL 10TH SO SEE IF
THE SKATERS DISAPPEAR AND IT IS NOT JUST ME SAYING THIS
BUT OTHERS TOO.

You know I dont like riding the clocktower just for the high traffic. Some guys are great riders and WANT to show off to the public and thats cool. Personally my level of riding isnt up to par compared to others but I can care less if I'm seen or not. I just like the seclusion of riding in a place where no one bugs me, no distractions. I think minus the skaters in SF the people walking thru drive me nuts and I'm not working on the next best link in flatland like Pete B. or someone else. I guess I tend to hide. Thats why I prefer riding in town where I live or the Spot becuase you just get a more private setting for riding alone or with friends.

We don't have to have big Jams either Mutt, actually I shouldnt have put it that way we should just get together and session every couple of weeks or once a month. Maybe find a spot thats public like the Clocktower but doesnt have the foot and four wheel traffic. Like finding a needle in a haystack I know.

Flatride I hear where your coming from dude but I hope you won't be such a stranger. I for one cant make the regular trips up there as its just too long a trip to justify going regularly. But I understand its the same for you coming this way, I completely understand. Things will get better though, flatland or just BMX in general has its ups and downs.

It would be cool to have some sort of demo though with our street/park riding friends. Those were always cool BITD, and both sets of riders can relate after all its freestyle in the end. I think I should start a Norcal flat thread obviously we can talk about this all day. Im right no Im right no Im right NO................ ;D

WELL WE ARE PLANNING IF THE SKATEPARK THING IS TRUE IN S.F.
AND IS DONE BY APRIL THAT IT WILL HOPEFULLY GET RID OF THE
SKATERS AT THE CLOCKTOWER IN S.F.

SATURDAY SESSIONS..THE CLOCKTOWER IN S.F...EVERY SATURDAY
SUNDAYS SESSIONS..THE SPOT IN DANVILLE..EVERY SUNDAY

HAVE A ANNUAL JAM AT THE CLOCKTOWER THE IST SATURDAY
OF MAY...

I THINK THIS WIL BUILD UP THE NOR-CAL FLATLAND SCENE VERY NICELY.
