I noticed a cool thread in Pedal, so I figured it'd be nice to have one here seeing as I'm somewhat partial to Global-Flat myself.
What are you working on and how are you progressing?
I'm usually ride about once a week with Chris Woodling. I just started riding again in February, so he's the lucky one getting to play mentor.
I'm currently playing around with steamroller variations (turbines, switch handed, no handed and g-turns). My main goal was just to be able to pump. I don't keep my tires aired up like I should, so keeping momentum can become a problem.
Another trick is hikers. I finally managed a half-hiker for about 5 feet or so. It's an awkward position to get used to and feels really twitchy. I can roll backwards hitch hikers as far as 10 feet, using what I refer to as the cheap hiker. Stand the bike up, get on the pegs and rock foward for momentum. The ride in is still sketchy.
Pinky squeaks are near dialed until I go for multiples and I'm trying to get into funky chickens from them.
And, as always, hang-5's. I love'em but it's still difficult to keep the balance point once I ride into it.
Who's next?
