The StrongArm cranks have evolved quite a bit since their start. The 2 piece arm uses a custom stamped, cro-mo faceplate, which is domed for extra strength and to make sure they are easy on your ankles. The welded on backing plate is thick enough to give the domed arm extra strength while remaining nice and lightweight. Both ends of the arms are fully encapsulated to ensure extra strength at both the spindle end and the pedal boss.
Running off of a hollow 4130 cro-mo 19mm x 48 spline spindle means that there are a ton of bottom bracket and gear choices. Outboard bearing BB, Euro BB, Mid BB even Spanish and American BB kits will work. This makes the StrongArms available to work on almost any frame. And now for 2012 they are stock with drive bosses for both right hand and left hand drive. And for Regular size gearing, Micro Drive or Spline Drive.
New for 2012 we are offering a SplineDrive 104mm 4 bolt spider to work with our StrongArm cranks that runs off the spindle not off the arm. We are also offering SplineDrive 25t and 28t chainwheels for our StrongArms so no matter what type of use you have in mind for your StrongArms there will be a gearing option to work for you. |
