Circle of Balance Rider: Simon O'Brien from Australia

We're doing a little tour around the globe with the COB interview. Next up is a Simon O'Brien from Australia!

When did you start riding and what made you start?
Around 1994. Because it looked cool. Also because I wanted to be that person ripping it on a BMX.

What’s your riding style? My style is real relaxed and smooth. This way I feel like I’m in good control of my BMX.

Any big influences? In terms of riding, the older crew inspired me, the legends of flat, they kill it! In life...JC and people who stand up for good inspire me big time, especially those who fight for animal rights. Q.What’s your killer move? Explain. backwards halfpacker kickflip

How’s the flatland environment in your country? It’s pretty rad, some goods spots around, get hassled sometimes, not a lot. Not many flatlanders though.

What was the highlight of your career? When I won the X-games in LA.

What is Red Bull Circle of Balance to you? It means Red Bull puts on an awesome event, for the riders. Giving back to the sport. Showing the riders a great event to celebrate how rad flat can be!
