Saskatoon Berry Jam 2010 BMX jam/contest weekend year seven.

-a 3 day event where you ride your bike and hang out with your bmx friends from other places that you don´t see much- but only this year we are holding a different kind of contest on an actually good surface that is more for lacrosse than anything else.

-usually we start out by all raiding the Olsen house early Friday to go to Fuddruckers with Peter and then riding in his magical parking lot. afterwards you will wash off and eat some food and then go to a bar somewhere in a huge group.

-hopefully you didn´t drink too much the night before because this next floor is fast and that never mixes well with a hangover. that is why I recommend if you must, drink import bottles only on this night.

-so yeah Saturday is contest day and we plan to have three levels in our contest format; beginner, intermediate/ expert, and pro. In each level (except beginner) there will be three ways to compete; best trick, timed run and battle. beginner will simply be 2- 45 sec runs.

-so then after a long day of riding and competing in a no stress way we will once again wash, eat and then party somewhere all to ourselves just like every year.

-Sunday will roll around and on this day it won´t matter too too much if you have a hangover because we will now be going back to Peter´s magical parking lot for the 4th annual Percy Marshall show. He will be just getting warmed up from his outing on Saturday so this should be good.



Additional Notes:

There is space at riders´ house to sleep at- but please do your best to try and make arrangements early so we can accommodate.

Tents have proven to be a great idea as Team Winnipeg has proved in past years.

Also, lawn chairs because you know you want to.

Prices and legal shit:

spectator-
$5 or group rate of 5 for $20. Kids under 7 free. Waivers must be signed by parent or guardian for ages 18 and under.

jam entry-
$10 allows riding in jam. Waivers must be signed by parent or guardian for ages 18 and under.

Contest entry fee-$30/am +$40/pro. $10 from all entry fee goes toward winner take all purse in pro. Waivers must be signed by parent or guardian for ages 18 and under.
