From Harbor Drive turn by the Hyatt towards the service road at the convention center - follow the road to the left - you will see Joe's Crab Shack, in front of it is a path all along the sea side and b-Ball court where some skaters can be found as well. What I like about this area is there is plenty of asphalt and flat areas all around this area plus the convention center has nice areas as well.

I have not been stopped by police (yet), but it seems pretty laid back and cool in the area.
