KHE Alchemy Pegs + many new parts
« on: October 30, 2007, 09:29:21 PM »
The KHE Alchemy pegs are going to be available before christmas. Time to update your list of wishes. Since they are made of a plastic and glass fibre mix the weight is really low (188g per pair) and they come with Jessup griptape for maximum foothold. More information: KHE - Alchemy. The KHE website was also updated with the new parts for 2008.

Our new team member Roy is taking care of the parts section and we have a lot of new parts online:

- Magicfruits - Master Peg
- St Martin - Unique 2 Pegs
- St Martin - Ringo 2008
- St Martin - Hollowflat Crankset 2008
- St Martin - Laid Back Seatpost
- St Martin - Angel 2

From now on you can find the latest parts on a new page of the parts section.

am i the only person who thinks the part rating section of the site is a bit of a joke?

example: as of posting this 456 people have rated the KHE Toy but the thing is it a prototype, how can 456 people have an opinion on a frame that isnt even available to them?

another example: 756 people have rated the KHE Paris frame an average 3.2 out of 5, all well and good but only 100 of these frames were made and less than 100 have been sold. how can 756 people have an opinion on a frame that they don't own and probably haven’t ridden?

so yeah, the whole thing strikes me as a bad joke and for all intents and proposes useless. I think some people like looking at images of parts and then clicking little buttons. however the ratings can't be used for anything and give people who don't know any better the wrong idea.

nobody really looks at the parts rating. I'd just go by personal experience of other riders and their reviews if anything. And I try to avoid khe. Just a personal preferance. But I am a sucker for their forks.

Those Angel 2 bars are looking mighty fine.

there is so much that makes sence here...........
and i can agree with everything you are saying but....................

on the other side of the coin...........

i think it is a good tool for comps like khe that can look @ this , and know what direction to head into  for a year or 2.
i guess you could call it a good  marketing tool for flatland!
