what to do?????
« on: October 03, 2007, 12:18:47 PM »
ive been riding mtb and bmx for a while and was always interested by flatlanding.
i've got a haro mirra 540 air and i really hate the weight of the bike when running pegs and brakes.

so i wana start flatlanding but duno where to begin.......
what beginer tricks are good for learning on a heavy bike?

ive been looking at the khe stylus and dafunction but i have no idea whether i will like flat landing or not.

do you think i should sell my haro and buy a new bike or stick with the haro and buy parts for it.

i really like the stylus and that it weighs 13kg, the same as the dafunction, but im not too sure about the steel frame and small crank. i like the dafunction cos of the crmo frame tho.

i really dont like the look of the DK signal but i guess its not so much about the looks just if it's suited to yur riding style.

so help me out what should i do?

keep the bike you have, check out the great how-to's in the tricks section and if you really want to go on with flat then start thinking about upgrading or replacing.

also pretty much every question you asked gets answered on a daily basis so maybe look around use the "search" function.. you may find just what you are looking for.

i have used the search button i just want some more opinions.............

from what ive read ppl stay stick with my bike but i really dislike my frame, all the weight is in the back of it which makes it really hard to maneuver

ive also read the stylus frames are weak but are a good beginner setup.

i have also looked in the tricks how to's

it seems like you have already made a decision about it. ride your bike practice trackstands forkglides or something along those lines, and if it makes you excited and it makes you want to continue to ride flat then buy something else..
i wasnt trying to be a j/o im just saying this post literally happens every single day.

good luck bro

i also forgot to mention one of my friends might buy my haro for 300 aud
so if he buys it it'll only cosy me another 200aud to get the stylus.

i've been practicing fork glides but i can only walk into them

trying to jump into them from riding is a pain as the way the offset on my forks are and the weight of my frame i need to jump and throw myself over the bars, almost getting the front wheel off the ground.
i have gotten them a few times tho

Throw 4 pegs on and go at it!

At this point you're at no 20" frame is going to be holding you back.
