For sure, but still.. He's "underground" by most standards. He competes now, but before, he barely surfaced up anywhere but videos on the internet.

MAJOR assumption , everyone should ride for themself i cudnt care less if people thought my style was ugly or not its just riding and im happy with mine and i think if your happyu with your riding thats all that matters regardless of opposing opinions .

Matthias had a great year and deserved the win.  I watched that vid and my only beef is why did Cerra not have a segment since he was officially nominated?  Especially since I sent footage in of Steph to be used BY REQUEST.  Lame.

Congrats to Matthias, personally he got my vote, hes won more contests than anyone this year, all over the globe, no one else has done that, first places at circle cow, fise,king of paca, voodoo, gypsy games, flatground, im sure ive forgotten somewhere. Matthias is the guy to beat right now, i think its good for flatland and its future that someone so young won this award.
