Fly Bikes flatland frame
« on: May 31, 2023, 03:31:18 PM »
FLY bikes just posted these 2 pics of a new frame.
I'm almost certain it's the flatland frame that Varo has been testing for the past year.

when are companies going to learn that the dropout junction needs to be smooth so your foot doesn't get caught on pivots

Ok, so this one isn't a new flatland frame...

I don't know if Varo is going to use this one or if they are coming out with another new frame.

Hm, the frame looks nice in general. I like FlyBikes. But 76° HT? Hm. That's one thing, but 9.5" standover? Why should I make riding so much more uncomfortable? I mean 6.5" might lead to a less stable/strong frame, but I don't see any technical reason to have more than 8". It is just a trend because of street riders like that look at the moment (after using 7" and less some years ago).
But if course it is nice that the guys from FlyBikes did not forget flatland completely and so there is another frame on the market that might be good for some riders at least.
