A jewel in the 2022 crown and something we are extremely excited to announce is the addition of the Shift Freecoaster Hub. Utilizing Wethepeople’s patented HYBRID SYSTEM technology, the Shift Freecoaster Hub is up to 33% lighter than any other Freecoaster and combines the smoothness and durability of a Cassette hub with the endless possibilities of a Freecoaster. Paired up with our own Viper and Gong Nylon hub guards and an adjustable slack system, the Shift can also easily be converted into a Cassette hub in a matter of seconds.
A new dawn for Freecoaster hubs has arrived and the Shift Hub is set to lead the way.
The Shift Freecoaster Hub is available now in RSD or LSD either as a hub or as a complete wheel laced up to our Trippin, E440 or Bondi rims.

Nice, so has anyone who can offer an opinion used this Freecoaster or same design like the wtp hybrid for flatland? I’m considering getting one but haven’t had such great luck with freecoasters over the years

Thanks out~riding, I was pretty sure of that but having the confirmation it’s the same design as the wtp hybrid is helpful.

Mostly I’m curious just how well the design works for flatland. I’m intrigued by the simplicity, the low maintenance, that it runs silent and that it’s not crazy expensive. I’m hoping the design works well for flatland riding, ie smooth rolling even when extra side load is applied like during carving and spinning tricks. The Freecoaster design sounds like it might be perfect for me but I’m hoping to hear from
Somebody who’s used it for flatland riding specifically.
