I’m just looking for knowledge. Is there a lighter crankset than the St Martin Hollowflat 2009’s? Also, has anyone ever broken a set of Hollowflat 09’s?

Hi, I haven't used it. Many others have, so I assume it cannot be so bad. But I doubt that it is super strong and I am almost happy that it is not made to last forever. Most other aluminium crank arms have steel inserts for the pedal threads. This could be a weak point here.
Did you consider FEC titanium cranks?

Much more expenisve but maybe stronger.

I’m not looking for a crankset (yet), the Hollowflats have suited me perfectly for a good while. I am a heavier rider and they have stayed firm. I was just looking at new cranksets and weights and wondered why none come close to the Hollowflats. I guess it could be attributed to suit street riders that need them stronger than flatland riders.
