Because of the titanium color .99.5 percent of my bike is black these days I am still bummed out that Thompson never made a pivotal seatpost .

I really can't think off too many parts i trust being Ti. Axles and bolts maybe? Cranks would potentially be next on the list but've never tried a set

Does anyone use the TI FEC female version? It's 3/8 correct - best way to get it to work with a 14mm frame?

I have 3/8 ti but they sell 14mm. Any decent welder can burr your dropouts to fit either size axle. I had it done for $30.

I didn't know they sold a 14mm female, thought they were all 3/8 and the male version is 14mm.

Did you know FEC can also do custom orders?

Here are some oil-slick TI posts:

These seatposts look beautiful! But why should one use a titanium post when aluminium is strong enough? I can hardly imagine that they are lighter, or am I wrong?

Nope they are all mine : )

For the Ti weight question, honestly I've been looking for a longer oil slick seatpost for years and this custom just gave me the ability to do it, it really didn't matter if it were Ti or not. For me anyway.
