Aluminum pedals
« on: May 21, 2020, 10:48:16 PM »
Shimano just released some new aluminum pedals. Yes they are heavier than plastic pedals but they will last much longer, have smooth sealed bearings and a nice grip.
And the best part is that they are affordable, around 35-40€

Hello,
The last discussions have been a little longer than expected. Since I am currently looking for suitable pedals for my BMX, I wanted to take this opportunity to ask if you can tell me what to look for when buying and which pedals might be suitable for me as a beginner .
I would be happy about any advice!

Many thanks in advance!

These look sick! I like the flat surface version a lot. I wonder what the weight is? TI spindle anyone 😁. Plastic ends on all contact surfaces just seems so much nicer (softer) to the bike on impacts which is why I’ll always stick with plastic bar ends, peg caps (IGI), seat and pedals. Thanks for posting!

Solid version is 612g, the regular is 512g. Not that heavy!

The look is not good and also I feel like they're not so durable >:(
