Grips that still grip with sweaty hands
« on: May 12, 2020, 07:18:02 PM »
I currently use ODI Longnecks but now that the weather is hot they slip a lot when my hands get sweaty..

Any recommendations?

I am looking for something soft with enough ''meat''.i don't like slim grips. The Longnecks are perfect for me in feel and diameter but they slip a lot..

are they the super soft version?

Shadow has the DCR compound grips that seem promising

I noticed that my odyssey Aaron ross keyboard grips wore in amazingly after a few sessions and seem like they'd be good with sweat

The IGI grips are decent. You may want to find a pair of the old Jive Handles tentacle grips. The tentacles wore down quick, but the grips remained sticky.

I use the harder rubber ODI Longnecks and live in a warm climate
of California..I do not have that problem with those ODI"S..there
are different types of ODI grips!

CAN YOU EVEN GET THE JIVE TENTACLES GRIPS ANYMORE?
I have not seen them in awhile?

Yes. You can still find the jive grips on ebay. I've also found them by visiting a few bike shops in small towns.

Just do not get the soft compound ODI Longnecks and the
V-2 Longnecks are the ones I have and they are slipfree and
hard compound. Soft x compound Longnecks and the soft x
Longnecks are the two you do not want to get and they tend
to tear and wear out faster.

The Lock On ODI Longnecks grips are a bit more expensive,
but will last longer for you and I will myself pay the extra that
I do not have to worry about grips for awhile.

The ODI Longneck ST series grips are good cheap grips to get
and at around $12 here are ones I used to use awhile ago and there
are many ODI Longneck grips to choose from(5-6 different ones!)

Screw E-Bay and people rip you off and just bad memories with
things on E-Bay and never liked those grips anyways and just said
I have not seen them for awhile!

Odyssey Aaron Ross keyboard grips huh and never used them and
I have been an ODI man for a while now and I have never use the
Odyssey grips

Well all rubber grips are going to get slippery with sweaty hands, just choose some that have a rough pattern.
For example: WTP Raptor or Eastern Coral

Good thought.
Would boiling them make any difference?

Boiling them will make them softer...
