NYB - NK (New K) Freecoaster
« on: April 17, 2020, 11:04:43 PM »
Looks like this slipped under the radar. The NYB Japan brand that replaced Nankai freecoasters has a new version of there freecoaster.
From what I can figure out, the NK (or New K) freecoaster has a new shell design and also redesigned clutch and driver that increases the slack by 40º.

A kit is also available to convert the previous K type freecoasters.

Great to hear they are still around. I had one of these and really liked it. Wonder if they will put out a 14mm version. Also it’s hard to compete with Far East seeing as how theirs is so light and functional (and sealed!)

They do have a previous 14mm version that is still available and it is actually lighter than the K type 10mm because of the hollow axle.

This new NK type is lighter because of the redesigned shell with a small flange (466g)
