Hi Flatism,
cool, you even saved the weight of the paint of your frame!  :P
I also like titanium parts. I have a few bolts here and there and crank spindles and front axles (14 mm). I like the colour of "raw" titanium, but for a black bike I wanted black bolts and burnished bolts became rusty after some time in most cases. When I found a shop which offers black titanium bolts, I started to buy these step by step. So I have some titanium bolts in areas where the weight saving is no reason at all, I just bought them because of the black colour... The will to have black parts is the reason that I do not use titanium spindle bolts for example (I haven't found these in black yet).

My old street/park bike had Ti spokes, GDH 19mm spindle, GDH 14mm axle, front button head bolts, sprocket bolt and stem bolts

Can find some pics if anyone is interested..

I had the bike for so long it just sort of happened over time

Hey Ao8,

how does the ti spokes going?

for flatland the Ti spokes are a NO NO, the flex from the side positions is the problem, for park and racing are ok...Double butted spokes are good enough for hard flatland and weight reduction.I might do an experiment with a bladed spokes and aluminum 7000 series nipples, (I currently have double butted spokes and those nipples) excellent strength and weight.
Maybe someone is using ti spokes for flatland and semi hard riding can share some knowledge....

I never had any issues. I kept everything tight and dialed and rode a ton of park and street.. I even had them laced twice which people also say is a no no (the first time I had them laced to rims that didn’t have braking surfaces and later wanted to run brakes). I used hub guards so they wouldn’t get damaged grinding...  I rode very little flat back then.. landing into peg manuals or peg manual to pedals tricks was as close to riding flat with the set up I ever got.

Not sure how they’d do with a lot of side stress. Saving rotational weight makes a bike feel much lighter though so at some point Id like to try it.. maybe someone else has already

I even thought of mixing them.. 18 Ti spokes and 18 Butted spokes laced.  ::)
