On my t1 profile ti gdh axle, 10t ti  driver,  28t ti Kevin porter sprocket, profile 48 spline SOLID ti crank spindle. Eventually  some ti stem bolts and clamp bolt. That is all.

I have seatpost, bb spindle, and every single nut and bolt in titanium...

I did have a watanabe seat with titanium rails and stimulatorz pedals with titanium spindles.

When i ditched the pedals i kept the gold TiN coated spindles incase they fit other pedal bodies.

Curious, if you changeout all bolts for titanium is there actually a significant enough reduction in weight? I've never actually done the comparison, but off hand seems like the weight savings would be minimal? I can see the weight benefit of titanium bb spindle, though, as that is a pretty chunky piece of metal. I'm guessing changing out bolts for titanium is one of those things where a lot of tiny weight reductions overall combined with other lighter parts add up overall to a bigger change.

Are there special concerns when using titanium bolts? Like is it more likely to strip the threads that the titanium bolt is threading into since it's a harder metal (more likely to strip what your threading into vs stripping bolt threads), requires special grease for protection due to dissimilar metal contact, concerns of threads getting seized over time, etc?

Yes you are correct about titanium contact on threads with other metals. A small amout of anti seize compound is highly advisable.

This can have a negative effect as it allows bolts to be tightened down more than usual as the grease stops it from locking down as tight. If that makes sense.

As for weight reduction, i have no clue! I only did it for corrosion resistance and the fact i was able to anodise them all purple.

Oh wow, I never even considered using colored bolts. With the right color combinations I bet it looks killer. I can imagine the anodized purple must look nice

what killah said is true. the hardware swap is best for rust resistance. a little ti anti seize helps.

That's good to know, thanks guys. I might consider them for my stem, mine always start to rust because my sweat tends to drip down on the stem a lot on hot days.

Sorry for the derailment, this thread was suppose to be for photos of titanium parts, not discussion on the ins and outs of titanium bolts, so I'll try to shut up now.

I've had previous issues with Ti seat bolts seizing, where Copper grease is essential, otherwise sh*t binds up!

Overall I find the weight savings pretty significant, esp used in conjunction with other mods..
I'll post my steed up soon.
