What size cranks work with mid bottom bracket frame?
« on: February 07, 2019, 04:49:36 AM »
I have a KGB soul rider I'm building up (need cranks and wheel sets btw)

need to figure out what crank size works with this frame, please help!

It says mid bottom bracket...is that 19mm or 22mm....?

The opening for the spindle part is about 1.5"

hey,
Not entirely sure I understand what you're asking. But, I'll do my best to try and help.

"Mid Bottom bracket" is the size of the bearing/bearing type that goes into the frame. The size of the bearing itself is constant where the size of the hole in the middle of the bearing will either be 19mm or 22mm. Which one you want will depend on the crank spindle (the bar that the cranks attach to) size.

So, if I'm understanding what you're asking, you'll first want to figure out what cranks you're going to get... Length is pretty specific to what you like. I think most flatland riders ride 160mm to 165mm crank arm length. Then once you know which cranks, you can find the matching "mid bottom bracket". Once again, that will either be 19mm or 22mm based on the spindle size of the cranks you chose.

For what it's worth, I ride 160mm Profiles with a 19mm spindle and mid bottom bracket.
I hope that I helped answer what you were asking!
