What happened to 48hole freecoasters?

So what's the deal..why aren't companies making 48 hole freecoasters?

48 hole is unnecessary for the vast majority of riders.


To the best of my knowledge the only company in the entire BMX industry still producing 48 hole hubs in 2017 is Bone Deth. 


The MOQ on a 48 hole hub is probably about 100 units, I doubt many companies would see that kind of demand.

36 hole,easier to build and a bit lighter.
It holds heavy riding so no problem
