Pegs with caps
« on: March 03, 2017, 12:07:34 AM »
Hi.
I'm looking for new pegs. I'm thinking to get pegs with caps like Colony Exon:

My question is do you have any problems with taking caps off after long time of riding? I worry about threads which can be fuc*ed after bike hit the ground on continous. I mean cap could be tighten too much or something...

Share some experience boys. Thanks.

I ride the Ares Ucchie pegs which are almost identical to the Colony Exon's. For the most part I love them. They might just be a tad "bigger" in diameter than I really want though. But that is more me than anything to do with the pegs. I've been riding them for probably over a year and have had no issues with taking them off. I tend to put grease on areas where metal meets metal though. I also tend to take my bike apart and tune it up quite often. That probably helps from the caps locking up too.

Hope that helps you out some!
