Splined Sprocket Center Point
« on: October 24, 2016, 03:58:49 AM »
Has anyone had any issues with splined sprockets not being centered properly?
I have two splined sprockets (Areas and Tree) and both of them seem to be off center with the crank spindle cause a loose/tight spot in the chain.

(I never had the issue, don't have a sprocket like that).

It's surprising coming from a Tree product.

Just a thought:
are you sure the issue lies on the sprockets?
Maybe it's on your chain, maybe you have some links seized causing that phenomenon of loose/tight spot in the chain

sorry...
I also do not use spline drive sprockets, but I always had a loose/tight chain depending on the crank position. I assume it can also be caused by the driver. So I would not blame the sprocket although it might be the reason.
The drilling is also not 100 % precise.
