« on: February 27, 2016, 01:49:06 PM »
St. Martin has some new Chase Gouin signature handlebars in the works.
PIR made the prototypes, 8" high but there will be a taller version available also.

Lovin' my new ST Martin/Awethentrick "High-Bred" bars. Put em' on in Newport Beach and they immediately felt perfect and i didn't skip a beat. In my opinion the 6 degree up and back sweep is a good combination and the exact 25.75" width is ideal (not too wide or narrow....giving great leaning control.) 8" rise is what i've ridden for a long time...though we will be offering them in another taller version. By the way...i've never owned  a cell phone nor have i been into social media. But  with my new sponsor...and generally trying to find a way to mesh with modern times...i'm giving it a shot here at interacting with you all. Hope i don't look or sound too silly...haha! I'll be updating when i have something to say or show.

I check the St Martin website and FB daily  ^_^

Nothing as of yet

They should update the public before dropping dates. That goes for all companies who do this

I wonder why they are so wide at the stem clamp area?

With V Bars you have to spread the load as the bar gets taller or you will have "Creaking" aka Stress so I think it was a good idea to widen that area

I've had my GT (not show) v bars since the early 90's and they are just as wide with 7 degree bs   and still holding strong

I'm excited to ride these

Thanks for the pictures outriding!
They come closer to the Flatware bars, don't you think? I like the style of the latest version more than the previous one.
Will there be different options?
