Pegasus BMX - Turret Stem Spy Pics
« on: June 01, 2015, 09:57:40 PM »

Today we have a few spy pics of a new Pegasus BMX stem for you. It's call Turret stem and Jeff is currently testing a prototype: "It seems to be solid. We have not finished the final features, the rounding of all the edges etc. But overall the clamp design at the side really works."

The reach of the prototype is 25mm, the total length 60mm, but they will offer a couple of lengths later on.

How do you like it?

I like it. Finally there is a "Flatland" stem on the market again. For those who like the short reach. I personally would never ride a 45 mm stem and it looks like there are less and less short stems on the market.
It would be interesting to have closer look on the clamping area for the steerer tube.

It looks similar to this stem except the clamp bolts are in reverse.

Cool idea, but the stem requires way too much steerer tube. This doesn't allow for raising or lowering your bars.
The following is the truth.  The preceeding is a lie.

Good point Tyler. BTW, I'm glad you've recovered & back to riding again.
