Paul, hey whats up man.  I did bring all my photo/video equipment out here, but I've only been here a bit over a month, so no filming yet, we'll see though.  What are you doing in Australia?

I live here now in - Melbourne that is. Just fancied a change really. It was also expensive for me to live at home and hard to find relatively well paid work.

Are you looking at porn Todd?

Bike: DK signal, of course.

i'm very very new to flatland.  in fact, just last month, i didn't even know it existed.  i was inadvertantly introduced to the sport through a couple of online acquaintances; while looking for a new, well-built "street bike" (as i called it) to replace my ancient haro which was falling apart left and right, i saw just one flatland clip and was hooked on it all night.  i ended up putting in an order for a DK signal (since it was so highly recommended for a new rider on a budget) and i love it, except for a couple personal quips (massive pegs combined with short rear and big feet hurts sometimes, and of course the crank.)

so that's it; i've been riding for around two weeks.  i've more or less got fork glides down, but that's all i've been working on -- still have trouble keeping balance half the time, and the back wheel keeps coming up because i can't force myself to lean forward over the handlebars just yet.  if anyone has any advice on starting out, feel free to PM me; i'm not making a new thread asking for tips :P

I'm the incognito technical brains behind the Flatlandfuel website. Been on a riding hiatus through most of college but am hoping to get back into riding more steadily once I have a dedicated place to ride. An unfortunate consequence of living in the mountains is that finding a flat/smooth place to ride is virtually impossible. Hopefully I'll be able to get back into the groove once I graduate this May.

Sam, 19
St.Helens, NW
England

Hey guys, dug my bike out of the garage for the first time in about 4 years and went for a bit of a ride today - something I'm planning to do more often this year.

Anyway, I always used to ride a bit of everything (although was never any good) but this time I fancy concentrating more on riding flat - the way it looks and flows just appeals to me.

Just hoping you guys can give me some pointers with getting started, and getting me up to date with whats been going on - I'm guessing I've missed quite a lot!

My bike is a 2001 WTP Airwin bought as a complete bike when I first started out. Since then it's had new pedals, cranks and chainring and is pretty much held together with scourer pads and insulation tape but it's still my bike.

Got some old flat pegs somewhere that I'm going to put on in the next week or so to get started - in a fetching shade of metallic pink too!

So....there you go!

 ;D
