Two similar PiR custom bikes (07 2014)
« on: October 09, 2014, 11:27:41 PM »
Hi,

I would like to share my two bikes. Sometimes I like to ride brakeless, sometimes not :)

The idea was to build two bikes which ride as similar as possible. The weight (and weight distribution) and the geometry is very similar (same frame, bar, seat position and so on).
I rode a Suelo V1 frame for many years and a Tango for some time. Based on the experiences with theses two frames I chose the geometry of the custom frame.
The handlebar design was inspired by the OG Cygo 2 which I really like in terms of style, but I wanted to have zero backsweep so I bought custom bars.

So far I am 100 % satisfied with the custom bars (London Bikes) and frames (PiR).

The bike with brakes:

frame: PiR custom
fork: OG Bikes Vajda 2007
bar: London Bikes custom (based on Dagmar III)

brake levers: Fly Bikes, with London Mod for rear brake

chain: KMC X10 SL DLC (11/128 “)

seatpost: Kalloy 27,2 mm
seatclamp: DMR Sect
pegs: Suelo Magnesium knurled
rims: Sun Rhyno Lite XL (48 H) black
spokes: double butted from Flatlandfuel
nipples: aluminium
tires: KHE Mac 1
tubes: KHE Twiggy
front hub: WTP Pi, 14 mm hollow titanium axle, aluminium cones
rear hub: KHE Reverse ACB
weight: about 10 kg

The brakeless bike:

frame: PiR custom

barends: Odyssey steel
grips: KHE Pyramid
stem: KHE Flat 26 with titanium bolts in the back
headset: FSA

seatpost: Kalloy 27,2 mm
seatclamp: DMR Sect
pegs: Suelo Magnesium with griptape
rims: Sun Rhyno Lite XL (48 H) chrome
spokes: rear KHE, front from Flatlandfuel
nipples: aluminium

beautiful bikes.
If I ever see a flat rider do a hop-to-wallride, my head would explode.

Hi,
thank you!
You can still buy these tires, for example from KHE directly:
