Viki Gomez - Moto Promo, Ares Team
« on: April 18, 2014, 12:19:55 AM »

Viki is giving some love to the bmx companies these days. He joined the Ares Team as you may have heard and released a promo video for his signature Moto pedals today:

'Here is the promo video of my signature Moto Bicycles Pedals! Always everybody wonder about the design of the pedals, this video shows one of the variations you can do with them! I ve never seen this trick done by anyone before so I call it the "Moto Pivot". Enjoy it!'

Another comment on joining the Area Team from Viki's Facebook page:
'I m so happy to announce that I will be riding for Aresbikes using all the best parts in my Orbea Rude Frame! I love Japan and I am happy to be part of what is today the best company of BMX Flatland! We will grow together and make Flatland bigger worldwide!'

This is Dub's pivot.
The following is the truth.  The preceeding is a lie.

Looks like a smaller version of the laminated plywood pedals. Hope they are cheaper than the $100(?)-ish asking price of the original.

Dub is not even on Vikis level!! Pedal tricks have been done for ages but pivots are a new development on pedals.... Moto pedals is a company from 2007 by one of the most original Flatlanders from Germany. Now Dub trying to copy the concept of moto pedals! WTF is That original??? Do your home work son

Moto Pedals are pin-less pedals.  Dub's igi pedals have a pivot point built into the pedal.  The only thing that the Moto pedal and Dub's pedals have in common are the use of grip tape.
The following is the truth.  The preceeding is a lie.

Dude moto pedal was the first pedal made with a full griptape surface... you kidding me? Dubs pedal look like a cheap copy. Its funny how some peolpe think putting a pivot bump on a pedal is a new invention.

You don't talk about the same things than other people on that thread. You even don't know what you are talking about.
Do you remember why you talk about Dub on that thread?
And have you ever make the comparaison of pics of the 2 pedals?

Agreed , stop talking.
Both pedals have there differences and they are both designed for a specific purpose.
I credit both moto pedals and dub for adding something to the flatland platter.
Inovation can be achieved buy useing a old concept and thinking how can i make this work better for a new purpose. Shaaa bloinks
Thats evolution sucker.
