SF Clocktower sessions
« on: August 27, 2007, 11:20:02 AM »
Well, despite some people saying that clocktower scene is dead, I keep riding there and so far have no problems... Anyway, I thought I would post up some pics from 2 recent sessions that I had:

Session 1:

Session 2, only a few shots, but creative:

Enjoy!

The Clocktower you can still ride on the weekeday there
and never said you couldnt and Alex you ride at the Clocktower
on the weekdays as you told me.

It is pretty dead no matter where yeah go in Nor-cal and
yesterday no one showed up for the session and everyone
i guess is busy not riding and i dont think people here are as
motivated as some of us are.

I did call you Alex Caps and apologized for no one showing up
for Sunday's session and ya know people said they would
show up but did not so i have no control over people at all
here.

heya Russian Alex..fook off ok..i mean despite what i say is
the truth and no one really rides there often and yeah you
ride there once in awhile but not all the time so dont make it
look like it as i know better as you ride there on Fridays
sometimes and sometimes during the week.

The Clocktower scene as i know it is dead and look how many
riders use to ride there on a given Sunday and look at it now
and even on fridays there were 5-6 flat riders out there riding.

Heya even 'THE SPOT" scene is pretty dead and yeah once in
awhile there may be 4-5 riders out there on Sunday but it is
not at all consistant at all as we found out yesterday.

I AM GOING TO RIDE NO MATTER WHAT!!
i dont really care if i ride with people or not now and yeah
i do ride with OSG during the week and thats fine with me
with this scene. Kerry Gatt is moving to New Zealand in the
next week and Drew(Andrew Arroyo) has no motivation to
ride again.

i just dont want people to think people are still riding at
the Clocktower all the time like Alex is saying as that is
not at all true and if someone goes there and thinks there
are still people riding there and no one is there then i dont
want them to get all pissed off.

i think the whole i ride by myself and ride at my own spot
is the thing going on here in Nor-Cal. Plus riding at theClocktower
during the weekend is very hard with all the pedistrians, skaters
and everything else going on but the Weekday is ok to ride there
but everyone busy during the weekday working, going to school
etc.

Like i said i am going to ride no matter what!
i drove 2 1/2 hours down from the mountains and rode with
Alex Caps for an hour and then went and got a drink and went
and rode another hour after alex left plus i rode with some of
the Grass Valley flat riders earlier.

Hey I'm a committed rider but I'm committed to riding not to riding with everyone. Its tough for us valley riders to get together and all go ride. We have jobs, wifes, families and just hectic schedules that all differ, I've been over this before.

Personally I've just had the first two days off in a row in about a month, i've been working long hours six days a week for the most part. I also just got back from upstate New York on business.

Clocktower? who cares theres a million places to ride in Norcal and most are closer to home. We have spots here in the valley where we can have a whole parking lot to ourselves and not be bugged by any peds, cars or skaters. You all say the word and we'll tell ya the place.

The spot is a much better alternative than the Clocktower and there is the place at the bottom of the Castro Valley grade in Dublin that Mutt found a while back. At least with the spot I dont burn up my precious riding time traveling.

clocktower dead?  I still go out there sometimes at night whenever I have the chance to (once a month at most?).  Most of the time it's with riz, andy, james, or some other folks.  Just because pete is out there anymore everyday doesn't mean that the spot is dead.  It just means that it's harder to catch some flat riders out there.

BTW my ass hurts from alex's dope tricks.  GOOD $HIT!

Look as a regional session spot for people to meet at the Clocktower is dead, as for locals I wont say anything. But for my friends and I to commit to coming up there wondering if there will be even 1-2 riders there its not worth going, too much logistics are involved in just figuring out which sunday we can all go together.......................

If everyone can communicate with eachother maybe more people would show but most of the riders out there dont come here and I dont have everyones number and the people that do dont get a huge response anyways.

To all Nor Cal riders: you are more than welcome to come ride with us in lathrop or manteca anytime (PM me for a number) we have a couple places to ride with little or no traffic other than us riders one of which is large enough to accomodate a large number of riders. Plenty of space for everyone we also have some smaller quieter night spots that have lighting and again no traffic.

CHRIS/ HITCHHIKER,

dont even make the effort as really
no one wants to ride together here and i am
done trying to get riders together and if people
want to come on Sundays to 'THE SPOT' then
fine with me or ill just ride alone or with OSG
during the week as it does not matter to me.

i am not going to get all stressed out trying to
get people to ride together when they are too busy
with their lifes etc............. a thousand excuses.

heya Carlos
whats up small fry
hows school going and when you done?

I ride the Clocktower after I get off work on the weeknights when the weather holds up because I'm out of town on the weekends... and each time I still love it, even if it's usually just me and a couple of the street riding bros if anything.... last folks I got to ride with down there was a session with Bottle and Woody maybe a month ago?
Whether I ride alone or if I luck out and some of the crew is out, the Clocktower is never dead to me =)
