What passes for "innovative" these days is a joke.

let me get this right: the kink stealth seatpost bolt is reverse threaded? like the pedals?
how many dumb mtb bicycle mechanics and Joe averages are going to strip the threads by over tightening when they want to loosen the seat? plenty, I'd think....

I love the video.
If the people at Kink think that using a normal pivotal is too hard, and that its easier to have to remove the seat post from the frame via the seat clamp, every time the seat needs to be removed. Then they clearly are grasping for customers.

Looking forward to the new Kink 2pc bars,
Literally a bar split down the middle in two pieces (Left and Right) and are attached to the stem by bolting each piece to the stem (obviously you will need to remove the stem to be able to attach these bars).

this is what i thought of as I watched that video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eMCURWpNAg

if you can't find the bolt in a pivotal seat then you are mentally impaired.

Seriously. if pivotal posts confound you, how the f*ck did you ever deal with a primo rod, or your stem, or your shoelaces?

If pivotal posts are too hard for you, maybe you shouldn't ride bikes ya dig

That was just a joke, why did everyone take that so seriously?

The main objective with this system is to get a clean looking seat without the cut out in the middle.

And its compatible with existing pivotal seats and posts.

it's a gimmick to sell parts to people who are so concerned with the look of their bike they need to eliminate one tiny little "imperfection" on their seat. it's really sad.

It's a tube of metal.  It holds your seat.  It's amazing how a company can muck something so simple up. Seems to me, a seat post is the last thing on a bike that needs "innovation".

Lets fix what don't need fixing.

I would like to see a pivotal layback post manufactured though.  I like short TT/wheelbase frames, but need room up top between bars and seat.

+1 on the layback. I'm not bothered about which side you bolt your seat from, but would like to see more layback pivotal posts in the full 330mm length. Every post on stores are practically the same. Odyssey and Eclat came out with some but in a mid length. This kink post appears to have offset between normal and layback.

It does also offer a bit of layback so that's also a plus if you like some adjustment.
